Liz has worked in education for the past twenty years: as a primary school teacher, a primary school leader; a school improvement adviser with the Local Authority and a hub manager with the National Literacy Trust.

Liz’s interest in cannabinoids surfaced in 2015, when she was hospitalised with an inflammatory bowel condition. Reading and research led her into understanding how the endocannabinoid system supports homeostasis and helps to regulate the body’s inflammatory response. This information was integral to an improvement in her condition and also led her to develop a wider understanding of how cannabinoids can support health and well-being.

With a passion for education and recognising that information about medicinal cannabis can be unreliable, Liz has written a number of accessible books about this subject including: ‘Only a Plant’ and ‘Mum’s Medicine’.
